Grossman Gone...Again..Anyone who saw the same game I did on Monday should also expect rookie Kyle Orton to eventually capture the #1 spot over Chad Hutchinson. If not in preseason, easily in the first 3-4 weeks.
Donovan to T.O. -- It's On!
McNabb, who made a recruiting pitch to get Owens to Philadelphia before last season, was tired of hearing Owens complain.
"Now for my name to be thrown out again, this is the second time. Keep my name out of your mouth," he said. "Keep my family's name out of your mouth."
Owens called McNabb a "hypocrite" on Thursday because the quarterback said publicly that he did not want to meet with Owens, while Owens said McNabb did try to arrange a meeting.
McNabb said he didn't learn until Thursday that his brother did reach out to someone close to Owens to arrange a meeting where the two Eagles could possibly work out their differences.
McNabb was bothered that Owens brought his family into his televised rants.
"My family doesn't need to be involved in any of this. I don't need to be involved in any of this," he said. "Now when you bring my family into it, I have a problem."
As it remains the Eagles training camp is the only exciting thing about the preseason thus far. T.O. is expected to talk to Andy Reid before being allowed to return to camp. He is taking his week off to go to the Bahamas and "get a tan". [Wire]
Blogpoll Delayed
Since work has forced me to delay the blogpoll roundtable question until the weekend. I wanted to leave you, my loyal readers, with a picture of the 2005-06 USC Song Team (don't call them cheerleaders) fully decked in their terrific tight, white sweaters. "V" is for victory.

First Bertuzzi, Now...Why do we even bother, as fans, to hold the players responsible for any of their actions. And when can we get some commissioners in sports who have the balls to stand up to the union? Does David Stern have a brother? Is Cowboy Bill Watts still alive?

NHL: Back and Backbone FreeMy thoughts on this: Typical NHL. Until they get a real commissioner and a real board of directors in Toronto these guys don't have a clue about discipline, rules, drug policies or anything else.
I'll tell anyone who listens. This league is far from being out of the water. Far from it.
The Law Wins Again
If he's healthy that's a great pickup for the Gang Green tonight.
