About that Mid-Week All-Star Game......NHL drew a POWERFUL 0.7 rating, 76 % lower than the last All-Star game, which was held in 2004. So much for that influx of young talent that will crossover into the mainstream sports.
As good as Sidney Crosby is you know your sport is in trouble when three times as many people want to see whether Brad or Wes will win the Road Rules Challenge or whether Mr. Boston will make the cut on "I Love New York".
I would say the NHL could just disappear to Canada and no one would notice, but by signing a long-term TV deal with the Versus network, they've accomplished that.
